BLUESIGN Certification was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Switzerland with offices in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The standard aims to reduce the environmental impact of the entire textile supply chain and move towards sustainable textile production and products, promoting a systematic environmental approach based on input stream management;

At present, we cooperate with more than 80 brands such as Adidas, NIKE and PUMA to complete the green environmental protection plan of the entire textile supply chain.

What is the meaning of being certified by BLUESIGN?

As consumers become more aware of their impact on the environment, they also become more aware of the environmental impact of the products they use and the companies that produce them. Therefore, consumers will expect products to provide a transparent value chain, good quality and harmless, and do not affect environmental safety and other guarantees.

BLUESIGN certification can solve this problem by testing all inputs, including raw materials, chemicals, water and energy, rather than focusing solely on testing products. Each component is evaluated to eliminate potentially harmful substances before production begins.

BLUESIGN certification tests all inputs, including raw materials, chemical composition, water and energy, rather than focusing solely on the finished product. Each step is evaluated to eliminate potentially harmful substances before production begins.

What is the meaning of being certified by BLUESIGN?
BLUESIGN introduces five principles of blue label certification
  • 1. Resource productivity
    Committed to the use of minimum resources, to achieve better quality and value-added products, and to reduce the impact on the environment to a minimum.
  • 2. Consumer safety
    Consumer safety means not only that textiles are of high quality and are not harmful to health, but also that the principles of sustainability are applied in the production process.
  • 3. Gas emissions
    Throughout the production process, exhaust emissions need to comply with strict control limits. Use low-emission components to optimize energy use and reduce CO2 emissions.
  • 4. Water discharge
    The goal of water discharge is to release purified water into the natural cycle so that it causes less pollution to rivers, lakes and oceans. To achieve this, you can use environmentally friendly ingredients and optimize production and wastewater treatment processes.
  • 5. Occupational health and Safety
    This is about the health and safety of workers in the textile industry. It means that possible local defects can be detected and improved in accordance with regulations.
